I need to know the mixing ratio of the above mentioned paint. Tower Paint says the ratio is 8:2:1. But the can says that it is 2:1. It mentions nothing about the hardener. What should I do?

hey coodeville! the proper ratio for centari using hardener is 8 parts color, 2 parts reducer,1 part hardener. this is correct when using 793s hardener[which gives a great gloss /depth]the proper reducer to use will vary according to temperature [air] that the paint will be applied. right now im using 8022s which is good for 80 degrees and up for spot/partial repair and 75 degrees for overall paint jobs, although i have used the 8022s for overall at and above 80 degrees.as it warms up you have to use different reducers, your dupont paint shop will tell which reducer to use.hope this helps, see ya! jimm

Neat trick I have found using urethane hardner; I put it in all my model spray and brush paints and it is completely compatible and hardens them right up! Also, I use urethane thinner in the same paints which evaporates much better than the usual enamel paint thinner and doesn't hurt the plastics even though it smells like lacquer thinner (of course test all this first on scrap plastic to see if yours is different!).
