The guy in the auto body supply shop says that DuPont paint is not as good as PPG. Any opinions on this? Secondly, he tells me that DuPont is much more expensive than PPG.

well this is an opinion question. DuPonts a good paint, so is PPG. I use PPG because it is less exspensive, easier to find here, and easier to work with. Go with what you like.
