Motor:
chevy 383 TPI motor
cam: GM 14097395 (Same as HT383)

Truck:
Chevy
Aprox - 5,000 lbs
3.73 gears

Which head would you guys recommend for this truck? I know both companies have good names. I also know that with the e-tec's i need the vortec tpi manifold which will cost me more. I'm leaning towards the Brodix at this moment.

Thanks,
Nick

My choice would be a GM 062 Vortec head. Hard to beat for lowrpm and mid rpm torque. Thats where this engine will spend most of its life.

I've given serious thought to using the vortec heads and you're right, low and mid is where this engine will spend most of it's life. I just liked the aluminum heads for the weight reduction. In the low and mid rpm range I'm sure the vortecs will perform just as well if not better than the aluminum heads I posted.

I guess the vortecs belong in the above list too.
