Been doing some browsing. Came along a few things I'd like your opinion on whether it's junk or a good deal.

My engine is going to be a mild to med built SBF in a 2000lb Pinto by the way, and I've been stock piling parts for the last while awaiting my starting my street project. I'm just not familiar with alot of brands.

Here are the links.

These look a little sketchy to me. I have read mixed reviews about these. Usually concerning fit and alignment. But that price is hard to beat.

The pistons are actually coted hypers and are not to bad of a product.

The rockers are good. My brother in law runs them in his sbf and has no issues

The intake is touch and go. My brother in law also has this product. He has 2 of them- 1 was fine and the other had fitment problems. The one on the engine seems to be a decent breathing intake though

Ditto on the rockers n pistons.
Id try and find a used Edelbrock rpm on Ebay. Those are decent, but Ive heard mixed feelings on em to. HG

I've heard (no personal knowledge) that those intakes had sealing problems, especially with Chevy Vortec heads.

Where are the Ford guys when you need them?

Thanks alot for your opinions guys.

I'm running stock pistons right now, so these should be a decent low buck upgrade. My rockers are Crane roller tip, But the Scorpions are alot better and look like a great deal.

I'm running a Torker intake now, but I'm looking for a dual plane of some sort. Might go with a Edelbrock RPM maybe. I hear they are solid performers.

The Scorpion Roller Rockers are definatley the best bang for the buck, we use them on 90% of our SBF builds. As stated before the intakes are hit and miss, common problems are poor port alignment, poor sealing, and terrible casting flash on the inside. Spend the few $$ more on an Edelbrock.

I don't know about the rockers or the intake, but the pistons are ok. The compression ratio is only 9:5 to 1 with 54cc heads. I think I would find better pistons with a better compression ratio than these. Most of the aftermarket and stock Ford heads have combustion chambers in the range of 58 to 68 cc's, which would mean even a lower compression ratio than 9:5 to 1 with pre 67 289 heads.
