Probably a dumb question, but im rebuilding my carb, and the accelerator pump rod doesnt seem to have a groove for a retaining clip on one end.
Should it have some kind of retainer?

It doesn't need one on the bottom side the rod is captivated. Only the top side that goes into the accelerator pump linkage needs a clip.

Thank you. I just watched a youtube vid and he has the rod oriented with the clip on the lower end.
