Look for width in the Knowledge Base. It is the same axle as 57/59 FORD (and the wagon rear has larger axle bearings).

:pain: 5 X 4 1/2

Same spline size. Hope the spline count is the same too... :pain:
axel ?

same spline size. does that mean axel diameter, and spline count . are the spines on the axel. so the same size axel can have diff no of splines. I getting mix up, thank you

Your 28 spline axles will fit into any 28 spline center section (gear chunk). Some trucks and cars have larger diameter 31 spline axles.

The vehicles with 31 spline axles and some with HD 28 spline housings have larger bearings.
The axle bearing (rear wheel bearings) have nothing to do with the center section applicability as long as the spline count is correct.
