here goes nother question from me. what is the early fuel evaporation heater connector and what does it do? when my engine heats up, this little unit starts ticking off and on. can it cause an engine to start sputtering and dying when it warms up? what is it connected to? i couldn't get a complete answer from alldata about this, so i thought i would ask around.

No it shouldn't cause it, the heater is designed to come on when the engine is cold to preheat the incoming charge.

What kind of car/engine? If it is the heater that is built into the carb gasket, it could cause the car to act as if it has a bad accell. pump. The engine would hesitatate and or die as you step on the gas. This is esp. true on the engines that don't have an exhaust crossover in the intake.
