doing away with the computer on my 87 elk. plan on installing a swap meet efi distributor. question: distributor has 2 male connectors. how to i determine which is for ignition and which is for the tach? are they usually marked?

Doc hereimp:

The Cap where the Wires go in should be marked on top, "BATT" for 12 volts, and The tach should be marked "TACH".

If you're talking about a non-computerized HEI distributor, the outer rear connector is for the +12v. (BATT) wire, the outer front is for the tach.
