Electric Choke

Hay Goat. Your electric choke should be hooked directly to a wire coming off the alternator. The reason being you only want power at this wire when and only when the car is running. You can check very easily which wire on the alt. is the correct one with a simple test light. Key on Engine Not Running,Check for power at any wires coming out of the Alt. P/S leave everything plugged in. You should find one or two hot and one with no power. Now start the engine and check the wire which seemed to have no power prior to starting the engine. If that wire is now with power you can connect it directly to the Electric Choke.
