Engine build
Hey guys, I have an engine I’m planning for the “Dart Project”. Here it is:
MOPAR 440 block, .030 over.
MOPAR 383 crank. (De-stroking it to 400 c.i.)
Childs and Albert custom aluminum piston rods.
Forged flat-top pistons.
Cam: Isky 270-mega
Overlap: 54 deg.
Lobe center: 108 deg.
Intake:
Duration: 270 deg.
Valve Lift: .465
Exhaust:
Duration: 270 deg.
Valve Lift: .465
Mopar Performance aluminum heads. #906 casting. (They claim 40 HP gain.)
Intake: 2.14”
Exhaust: 1.81”
Holley Commander Universal Multi-point EFI. 1000 cfm.
Headers. (not sure about specs yet.)
Weiand Action +Plus intake manifold. (Basic RPM: Idle – 6000)
What kind of horsepower will I get from this setup? How much torque? Is there anything that I should change? Have I given you enough information? Any suggestions are welcome.
I want to get reasonable gas mileage right now, but easily increase the horsepower later.
Thanks guys.
