I have a totaled out 1984 corvette which I bought to transfer all suspension to a tri-five. It has a small block Cross Fire Injection System
Can I run this motor without the air pump without having to change anything on the computer and is this engine a 2 or 4 bolt main?
I would appreciate any help or additional comments on this engine.

That motors is a 2-bolt main with mediocre heads-if you can afford a new set of heads, I'd recommend it. The fi system is decent, and is in essence, the original tbi truck system. The weal point on that fi system is the controller, which is like a footpedal sewing machine in antiquity. We here modify the harness a bit, and use the later truck ecm and electronics, which work much better, and is much more tuneable. The harness is recycled, unless it's trashed, then we build a new one. remember, that setup can support 375-400hp, but will not tolerate a rough idle, so if the cam is swapped, it needs to be small, or the entire combo needs to be designed for a smooth idle.

You might want to check with someone who is into Corvettes. I believe that crossfire set up, while not what you would realy want for performance, is relatively rare and may be worth more than you realize.
You may be able to swing a deal for the later tuned port set up which would be a better driver.
