I am installing a 88 T-bird drivetrain into a 56 Ford F-100. I was planning on using the "speed density" system. Should I switch to the "mass air" system, and exactly what components do I need to retain to keep the engine from "coding"? Any one with Ford EEC experience would be a help. I think I can use a mass air sensor and ECA out of an 89-93 5.0, auto, Mustang and use all the sensors from the 88 Bird. Can I lose the smog pump, TAB, and TAD?
