What I'd like to do w/ my Rambler is have engine-turned door panels. Does anybody have any experience w/ these? It seems like they'd be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Thanks!

Won't be any hotter or colder than upholstered pannels. However the aluminum is a very efficient heat conducter compared to insulation so it will feel hotter/colder 'cause it will transfer heat into/out of your hands very fast. In contrast, upholstry will come to equilibrium with your skin temperature rapidly 'cause it doesn't transfer heat very well. In short aluminum will be more umcomfortable but not 'hotter' or 'colder' than a conventioal material.
