My 1969 firebird is in need of an engine swap. Right now it has a 350 but unfortunately it has broken a rod I need a new engine. I've talked to Ken Keefer(aka the pontiac dude) from Brooksville, Florida, about buying an engine from him. I was just wondering if anyone has got an engine from him and if so what they thought of it in the way of quality and performance. Thanks in advance for any help.

Any shop that stands behind their work should be more then willing to give you a few names and numbers of customers so you can ask a few questions. If not, my advice would be STAY AWAY.

Was forwarded this site/question by people that do business with me and friends.
Yes, I do have references and been doing this for 30+ years. I have all info on my site along with customers cars and my own. Past and present.
Thanks for your inquiry and e-mail me if your needing any questions or parts. Thanks, Pontiac Dude.
Below is the site.

You can also try Classical Pontiac and Performance Years bulletin boards if you want more answers to your request for quality work. I frequent Performance Years board and try and help people with questions that I can answer.

I had Ken's Speed and Machine build my last motor and they did a Great job. This was an Aluminum head, solid roller Pontiac Motor.
They were in constant contact letting me know where we stood with the schedule and anything that came up. There were NO surprises. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Check out some pic's of the motor!
