Can I apply Evercoat rage filler over Nason 2K urethane primer? Or will I have to sand down to bare metal then apply filler? Thanks.

Of course you can.
I'd suggest sanding the primer first. imp:

Old school was NEVER put filler over any kind of paint!!! However having said that there is a type that you can and those are Epoxy primers which act as a rust inhibitor, a seal between your fillers/topcoats and the metal, which not if but when you get a scratch/chip in your paint even though the filler may be exposed to the moisture it does not reach the metal and rust. I would check with the manufacture before putting anything but spot putty over a primer, you could end up with rings or worse in your final product. And that is a ton of work to do to have it not turn out!

I usually scuff the primer where I will be applying Evercoat products to with 150 grit for glazing and 80 for filler. A way of thinking I use with Evercoat is "the filler and glaze sand out with about the same effort/strokes" so I will always judge the dent and if it's going to take more than 2 coats of glaze, you've wasted time and product. Just something I've observed from using Evercoat over Bondo brand.

Evercoat makes best body fillers. However I would put glazing putty over primer (after its abraded) If you're trying to fill something you should rather take primer off and put filler on filler rather than stacking filler on top of primer.

Yes filler ''can'' be put on top of primer !!! Sand it first,Then put your filler on... It's done ''everyday'' at all the body shop's...
Don't sand your Epoxy primer to the metal..You can add the filler over the Nason..Don't try to paint over filler..You have to prime over any filler work...

I like to put Epoxy over bare metal,Then put the 2K on,Then block it,Then do all my filler,Then cover with 2K and block it..

I won't put any glazing putty on any of the cars I do..I can't stand that stuff.. :smash:

I have worked in many shops where thay apply filler over primer if it is sanded with 80 grit just make sure the primer has had time to cure before applying the filler

If you sand the epoxy with 80 grit, won't most of the epoxy be sanded off?
