Just wanted to quickly confirm the wiring on my external voltage GM regualtor.

On the wiring harness there is an F, 2, 3, 4

The F is to the 12V Constant terminal
The 2 and 3 wire are to the altenator
The 4 wire is to the run side of the ignition switch

Your "F" terminal goes to the alternator (that is the field)

#2 goes to the alternator as well, that termanal is the R terminal on the alternator

#3 is the battery connection and usually has a fusable link in it. this will run to your battery, horn relay, amp gauge, and the "BAT" terminal of the alternator

#4 is the ignition switch

I checked this with with my wiring diagrams as I was writing this, hope this helps
