Well I got the car running pretty good and it is still learning but now I have an issue with hot start. If I take the car out for a short drive and get it up to 180-190 temp and turn it off it will not start until it cools down. What do I need to look for on my settings?
I know someone will ask about the motor specs before answering. I have given all this in earlier post. Thanks

YOU need help but WE are supposed to search for other posts by you? Really?
How about you at least tell us what it is doing when it doesn't start. Does it even crank over? Can you put at least a little effort in helping us figure out what your car is doing?

The motor turns over fine it just will not start. Kind of hard to add much more than that. The motor starts a little slow when cold but does not want to start at all when hot, crank, crank, crank but no start when hot. If I let the car sit about 30 min it will start.

As far as other post each time I posted a question someone would come on and want to know engine spec. so I would respond. Then someone would want to know about timing, so I would post that. Then someone would ask about placement of computer, so I would post that. Then someone would ask about ground and again I would post that. This was all when I was just trying to get the car running so I did not see a reason in going back and posting from 30 previous post.

The car truns over fine when hot just does not want to fire off.

A link to the post(s) where the specs were, or saving the specs to a Word (etc.) doc that can be pasted in a new post is how to take care of that.

Do you have fire at the plugs when hot?

454 stroked to 505 with big mutha thumper cam and a low 8" vac. AFR 305 heads and Msd dist with Msd 6AL. Initial timing set at 21 and 35 total. The computer is 2' away from the dist. and all wires are run away from the spark plug wires. Fuel pressure is set at 43 and this was set with vac. line off.

I do have fire at the plugs while cranking hot motor. I found a post yesterday that said to hold it to the floor which I did and I was able to fire the motor. I only have about 2 tanks of gas through the system so far which is less than 50 miles (drinks the gas, geared 4.56). I can really tell the difference once the motor comes up to temp. really smothes out and pulls real well through all 5 gears.

I am not sure what the computer tells the motor when it is hot during cranking and thought there may be a setting in advanced that may need adjusting.

Sounds like it is flooding. I would check for a leaky injector or a bad pressure regulator. The tip off is holding it to the floor gets it to start. In most injection systems this shuts off the fuel and also allows maximum air which will overcome flooding. What is the fuel pressure reading.

I am surprised that you are using that much fuel. 2 full tanks for 50 miles, I would take a hard look at the fuel pressure regulator and at the injectors. I don't care what gears you have that is excessive fuel consumption. Have you put an air fuel gauge on it to see what the ratio is.
With only 8" of vacuum the fpr may never be closing.

I am not sure what the fpr is can you give me more info on it. The car has a small fuel cell and I can not say for sure the tanks were full to the top so my mistake there. The amount of fuel used is the same as when I had a carb, it drinks the fuel but the plugs look fine and no smoke out the back. Fuel pressure is good and afr is good.

FAST EZ EFI Auto Learn mode

I am trying to get my efi dialed in and read that the AL starts when engine is up to temp and while I am driving I can see when the AL lights up and AL is working. My question is the computer goes into AL only when you are holding a steady rpm and goes off in you accelerate or slow down. The directions say to run throught the gears then stop and do it again and the computer will learn. If the AL only kicks in on steady rpm how can it learn while you are driving normal, stopping, starting and going through the gears? My be a stupid question but I am sure someone can help explain it to me. Thanks

it can not use the o2 signal during hard accel or deccel as the signal is not consistent or accurate. It can use tps and vacuum signal to help dial in fuel during these situations though. I'm not familiar with how that system works but I imagine a phone call to them would have it figured out...
