O.K. Guys I need to know your thoughts on 3 subjects. Who has the best pinched '32 Ford frame and who has the best '28 Ford Roadster body and '32 Ford 5wd Cp body in the market. I have not done a glass car yet and worried about quality from the dozens of companies that excist now. Let me know!

One thing I would suggest is to go look at different bodies. Everyone has thier own good points and bad ponts. Then I would talk to thier customers and see what problems they have had with them and what could be different. No glass body that you can buy is going to be perfect. Heck, When old man ford made them new they were far from it. Just make sure you know what you are getting and talk alot to the manufactor about what you expect and what he is offering you.

it is in the quality of workmanship of the glass. also remember you only get what you pay for. in my area the most popular glass cars are from downs, outlaw, wescott, gibbons, flatlanders. you should get each catalog and see if what they have is to your liking.call them and have them answer your questions. good luck.

Stay away from A & C Autos in Buffalo, NY. I found out the hard way. Their stuff is terrible and I have the digital pictures to prove it. Mine was a "34" 3-window coupe. I have visited Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pa. and their products are top notch; never seen such a nice fiberglass and gel coat. I've owned fiberglass boats since 69 so have seen a lot of good and bad products. My next one will be from Outlaw Performance.

Research before you buy, a nice gelcoat may not be what it appears to be. Look for structural reinforcements. A street vehicle is subjected to a lot of twisting and torque forces when accelerating, turning or handling bumps in the road. I have found that "Wescott auto" manufactures very nice reproduction fiberglass bodies that have a steel inner cage. I saw one of Wecotts 32 coupes crash and roll at the drag strip with minimal damage! The doors still opened and shut.

I've had them all through my shop, and Wescott is the only way to go in my opinion.

There roadster body is far and away superior to any other.

If you are looking for less traditional styling, the Harwood body is very nice.
