Well I decided to start my 89 Silveradothats been sitting in my garage for the past few months. It wouldn't start right away but after I pumped the gas pedel a few times (maybe a million times) it started.

Here is my problem, when its hard to start and I pump the gas pedal there is a little carb fire, fine I just turn the key and don't touch the gas pedal. But today I noticed that there were flames coming out of my passenger side valve cover with the breather still on it.

Whats causing this?

Doc here, :pimp:

Like JMARK said, sounds like you have a ton of gas in the Oill..change it and the oil filter before you blow something sky high...

Be sure the PCV isn't Stuck wide open and in the course of pumping like mad , and cranking your not flooding (drowning it) and have raw fuel pouring down the PCV hose into the valve cover..
