I spent yesterday crawling through a snow covered, wet wrecking yard trying find a brake pedal assembly that will mount on the firewall and hold a GM steering column, in a 38 Chevy.I've heard a Honda pedal assembly will work.Is there a common junk yard conversion?I'm hoping to use a 8" booster also.Thanks, Cisco.

I havent heard of such an adapter. My best bet would be to find a pedal out of a more common vehicle, that would work. Some of the mid sized or compact vehicles should have a pedal that would work with your car as well as fit the ergonomics. You can also redrill the pedal arm to work with your master cylinder link if you have to, to achieve the desired depression angle.

Hey Cisco,I'm working on a 39 Chevy. I got the 8" booster and peddle assembly out of an S10. Fits between firewall and dash on the 39 with no trouble, but will have to make brackets to tie to the dash and support the steering column.I'm going to use the S10 master cyl. and prop. valve as well. Jim

I phoned the local GM dealer today.They could not tell me anything useful about boosters.I know some 7" have dual diaphrams and some don't .Will any GM 8" booster be good enough to use?

While I like to plow through my local Pick-n-Pull for this kinda stuff myself, when it came to fab'n the brake pedal for my '36 I decided to go with
