Hello all,

I found this link by way of www.houseofdula.com. I'm adopting my father-in-law's '69 Torino which is very similar to his and plan to follow a similar route as him with the hope that my results will be half as good has his. I've done a fair amount of wrenching on cars with my most ambitious task being an engine rebuild on a 88 LeBaron 2.2 turbo. This will be my first "old school" car to work on and I am very excited to jump in. The car will be a weekend cruiser for my wife, baby, and I to enjoy. I'll be looking to the forum for advice on body work initially.

welcome....Whats in the Torino?
I don't even know for sure, but I'm told that it's a 289 with a manual transmission. The following are options I'm considering:

1. rebuild original motor and manual transmission
2. swap in a FI mustang drivetrain
3. swap in a 351 per Dula's advise

I'm really not sure. Tackling the drivetrain is a long ways away so I haven't thought about it too much.
