anyone use flatout gaskets, Rubber Coated Copper gasket? i need to order new pistons or use a .100 copper gasket. this will be for a street/strip car.

good pistons will run me 780 bucks since i need them for a amc with 2.10 intake valves.

Never used that particular type of copper gasket but back in the seventies I cut a half dozen head gaskets out of copper sheet for the hemi.

They worked pretty well until I was able to locate a more conventonal type overbore head gasket.

I'd anneal them and then liberally coat them with slobber-on Permatex form-a-gasket (the brown stuff in the can with the brush) and torque the heads down.

I still have a few sets someplace.
