Dumb question but need to ask .

When installing a flexplate which side goes up against the converter. The mounting area (bolt hole locations) can be indented or embossed depending which way you put the plate on . never niticed when I removed the old

Could make a difference ..right?

Yes ... big difference.
On a Chevrolet ... the indentations go outward to the transmission.
