I need a title for a 50 model car. I have been told there are companys in Ga. and Ala. that can provide one. I found one in Ala. but they said they do not do business in NC. I don't know why. Do you know how this works and are there any you recomend. If you don't want to answer here, please PM me.

Hi Jack, naw I aint gunna hold you hostage. Have you checked with your Dept. of Motor Vehicles? Here in Texas if you have a vehicle that has no title, they will run a search and if it is an abandoned or unclaimed vehicle you can apply for a title in your name.

My brother tried that, posted a bond, had the car appraised, then had the Highway patrol come out. After all that, he was told that when the car was road worthy he could apply for a title. I don't want to sink a bunch of money into a car with no guaranty that I will get a title.
