351w has the same valve covers as a 302,cleavland and modified look more like 460 covers,also the sides of the heads are flat like small block chevys.

How can you distinguish between a Ford 351 c/i Winsdor and other 351 Ford engines?

the cleveland blocks have timing cover intergal with the blocks whereas the windsor family has the timing cover that bolts onto blocks, usually an aluminum cover.
