I have a 66 Thunderbird and am trying to find the build date. I am looking in the correct spot and my numbers are 94288, the examples I've seen on a 64 390 showed 4 H 4 = 1964 August 4th. I was told by the previous that the engine was rebuilt or replaced. My bird is a z code (390). Any help or ideas?
Thanks

In my experience, FE's are the most difficult motors to identify externally. When I first became involved with them, I finally gave up trying to research numbers and would just tear them down an measure them, or at least pull the pan and get the forging number off the crank.
