Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to identify my y-block engine? I've looked over the complete engine and can only find the following numbers:

INTAKE: ECW9425-A
RED FORD: ("D" ROTATED 90 DEGREES WITH A CIRCLE AROUND IT) + 2
FIRING ORDER: 15486372
BLOCK: EVB6015C
48.L (CIRCLED)

Passenger Side Head - EBU6090 48E: FORD 16
Driver's Side Head - EBU6090 06V: FORD 11
Intake: 59V (I believe!)
There was a letter "B" over both number "9"s in the part number.

Can anyone tell me where to find the block identification number?
Oh, can anyone tell me what this engine would be worth? It has only 40,000 original miles on it. My brother and I rebuilt it together. All has been completly cleaned and re-painted, except the intake and top end. Engine is for sale!

Thanks and have a great day!

Of the heads are EBU heads, it is most likely the first year Y-block, a 239. Not very desirable for a build because of many items besides cubic inches. The Block casting should be above the oil filter pad. If it is a 239 and is a rebildable engine there are probably a few '54 Ford owners(truck and car) that would pay a good price for one. 1954 was the only year the 239 Y was built so it is a pretty rare bird.
