I have a 1954 chevy 4-door and I have a 1979 Camaro. I would like to take the front frame and suspension and install it on the 54. I need all the suggestions I canget
I wrote a wiki article for a friend who wanted to do a frame swap on an International truck. I suggested a Dakota frame and went into as much detail as I could on the frame swap and also a clip swap. Read through this and maybe you can pick up some ideas that will work for you. I think the front track on the Camaro will be too wide, but that's for you to figure out. A clip from a G body GM car might be a better track match for your Chevy ('78-'86 Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino, Cutlass, Grand Prix). http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Frame_swaps
