Hi,
Some time back I replaced the stock cam of my 80corvette 350ci with a 305 stock from an 85 caprice, now I notice my corvette is slower and pluges wet with fuel.
What you think guy's is it becouse of hte damn cam?

Could just be me but why would anyone put a cam from an 85 Caprice 305 into a 350 Corvette engine. Have you compared specs, the Caprice cam must be pretty lame and a new performance cam isn't even expensive. Just my opinion  <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Sounds like your cam base circle is to large for this engine which might allow the lifters to pump up and hold the valves open slightly. Something to check out, unlikely but possible. But it does beg the question, why? Did the supplier of the cam tell you they were the same? If so I would choke the MF.

You're a sick individual!

PAW has a wide range of performance cams for $44.95
Cam and lifter kits are only $79.95

Get rid of that 305 cam quick. It has less than 200 degrees suration @ .050" and under .400" valve lift
