I painted my car with urethane base coat clear coat.I had a bad run in the door.So I masked with paper on the panels around the door.I now have clearcoat overspray all over the rest of the car.What can I do to get it off.It has been about a week so it it is dry. Thanks proge

The best way to remove it is not to get it on there to begin with. But, I think you've figured that much already and will invest in papering correctly next time without taking a costly short cut.

If you haven't already sanded and buffed prior to your misadventure go ahead and do so. It should be alright afterwards.

If you did then repeat the same. Caution though. You may have to reclear if you go through.

Sometimes overspray can be be removed with a clay bar system available at most part stores; depends on how wet overspray was when it landed on car.

Color sanding and buffing will definitely remove overspray but will take awhile and you must be very careful not to cut through clear.
