i saw some people saying you cant media last carb bases because it will lodge stuff in all the nooks and crannies...

no, ive been media blasting carbs since racing methanol gokarts when i was 14-15

i have some before and after pictures.

as long as you take some time and chase the openings with cleaner/air and test all the shafts and such the carb is fine. makes them look a lot cleaner. and i usually take the shafts apart to paint/clean the steel but i love the way they look..

everything is much cleaner, i guess if i lived in a salty area id seal the raw alumn. im taking the 1406 and going to paint it black with stainless screws and red steel components
