I was just needing to know if I can put a posi in my 82 el camino and use the same axles and then put 3.73's in it with out to much trouble iv been looking for a whole rear end assembly that i could just bolt up but i cannot find anything around here

Moser Engineering - Part # 542057 - Auburn High Performance Series Differential 10 Bolt 7.5" (3.23-up)-- 26 Spline - Differentials will that work? and with that do i have to get series 2 or 3 gears?

what gears should i get like what are richmond and motive gears or the summit brand are they even worth messing with at all?

26 spline and 27 spline are they the same thing? both are 7.5 gm 10 bolt

so 28 spline axles make for a stronger rear end? other wise i need an 8.5in rear end right?

im thinking i will just say forget the axles as of right now and when i start looking for more power just find an 8.5" rear end because it will be a few years down the road any thing more than like 270hp will come out of that 305 haha

i do have another question though the cam went flat in the 305 and we replaced it will a set of lifters and k1103 cam from summit and now when you time it if its on 0 degrees advanced its fine but even on 4 degrees advanced it has a hard time starting sometimes when its warm it acts like it has a dead battery kind of i dont really know any other way of explaining it but we tried to move the distributor a tooth backwards but it will not move from that spot on the cam otherwise if it does move a tooth its way to far basically also my heat only works on one setting for the fan speed iv cleaned the contact points and it doesnt really do anything plus it doesnt blow through the dash vents it blows through the defrost and floor vents only
