half rack steering

I have a 36 Ford with a Vega gearbox that needs to be replaced. I am looking at one of those rack type (like unisteer or hotrods and performance). My local shop isn't familiar with the setup, and would like to see a rod with one, and talk to the owner. The shop is in Pomona, and I'd buy lunch. Thank you.
