hey guys, im trying to figure out what head gasket i should buy, i have a 403 olds, i've put #7 heads and a few more mods.. im wondering what the difference would be if i installed a .020'' gasket apposed to say an .080" gasket. i know the compression would change but would it be a huge difference? a noticable difference??

Ideally you would like your head .040 to .050 from the piston. Measure how far down the piston is below the top of the block.

Sure it will change the compression...........But are your parts flat enough to seal properly with a .020 gasket?
