Hey guys I've got an '84 Z28 H.O. 305 and I currently have a nice set of Hedman 50 state leagal headers(not long-tube) on the car. I found a good friend selling Hooker Long tube super comps for 150 bucks never even used. I know Long tubes are a real pain in the butt to install but do you guys think that the power gains with these long tubes over the normal headers will really be worth it that well?(if it helps I exaust is all 3" pipe into y-pipe then gutted cat and flowmaster 40 series muffler).

With only having a 305, the bigger headers will probably not help much at all.

The work and cost isn't worth the difference. And I think that those headers cost about $150 new anyway, so your friend's deal isn't so hot.
