Hello everyone,

I am looking for some information concerning the purchase of headers for a 1995 GMC C1500 RWD pickup truck that I'm putting a rebuilt 454 into. I can find headers for the BBC that goes into the Chevrolet 454 SS but they're expensive. Can anyone tell me if the headers for a 2500 or 3500 Chevy or GMC will fit this vehicle. I can find headers for those that are dirt cheap to the tune of as low as $135 but to get a set of headers for the 454 SS, I have to spend about $400 bucks. I did find a set for $274 but if I can get some cheaper ones then I'd like to do that. So, are the engine bays and frame dimensions the same on a 1995 GMC C1500 and on a 1995 GMC or Chevy C1500?

Thanks

The ones I'm seeing available for the 2500 and 3500 series chevy trucks aren't shorties. I need to know if anyone knows if the headers that are put on a 2500 with a BBC in it will also fit in a C1500 with a BBC between the frame.

Yes, C1500 and 2500 are basically the same truck mechanically as far as suspension design and frame dimensions. They would say they fit except BBC did not come in a C1500 except 454 SS which also shared some parts with the 2500's

Thanks for your reply matt167. Here's a couple sets I've found on Summit Racing. The first is the set for an actual C1500 454 SS truck and the second is just the results of a quick search that appear to be for the 2500 and the 3500. The second ones are much cheaper and I've even seen them as cheap as 135 that fit the 2500 and the 3500 but the first set at $274 is the cheapest I've found for the C1500 454 SS. If the cheaper ones will fit, I'll go with them.
