I know years ago we used double head gaskets on some engines if there was a clearance problem. We used soft copper gaskets with lots of sealer. No one seems to have heard of this anymore. Has anyone ever done this besides some of us old guys? I know that engine building on the new engines have changed but when you work on the older stuff and parts a hard to fine for one reason or another you do what you have too. Any knowledge will be helpfull. Thanks Jon

Ive seen double head gaskets on Ford 300 I6 right from factory. They were for industrial applications.
