Just picked up a 1989 K5 Blazer for a project to do with the kids for $400. The Jasper replacement engine has about 35000 and seems to be very strong. The body needs work as expected but the undercarrage seems intact with no major problems. The price was right and it seems parts are much more affordable/available these days.

I plan on making the Blazer full convertible by cutting off the section over the driver/passenger so it resembles the 67-72 Blazers. Any insight or tips would be greatly apprecitated. Once all the rust is removed and new sheet metal installed, everything inside will get the bedliner treatment along with anything on the underside.

Look forward to being a member. Thanks and God Bless our Country and our brothers and sisters serving in the armed forces both here abroad.
