Almost 60 and still enjoy reading about Hot Rods, old guy in the desert, no garage, no dual exhaust, duel carpel tunnel and spine damage, but I have a loyal Golden Retriever lol.
Have an old 84' c10 s.s. 305/700r4 my dad an I got new, needs a rebuild, but so do I lol.
Originally out of east Detroit, not to far from Gratoit Ave. Dad in the auto ind. tool and product design, I followed that for a while, used to love turning a wrench and design etc.
Now it hurts to pick up a pencil...so, paying to have stuff fixed is a bit of a shock, but,... I am still breathing, and can read about what is new these days.
Funny how things go back and forth from technology, swaps and the simple stuff. Would enjoy having some "new stuff" for my 305, like a TBI setup so Ca smog is content, and a decent rebuild for efficiency, maybe a new wire or two lol.
Now stuck out in the desert in So-Cal. If any one cares to ask a question or chat, feel free (I still remember a few things), still an old boy scout and you will get the truth.
Hope you all enjoy your time, Tony

Thanks, 454. I was trying to focus on your rod in the photo, that's living right there. "never enough?" hmm...
I had a 35' Ford 5 window coupe 302 sb many years ago in Texas, too much on the street but fun.
Just read about a 76 year old putting an L31 in his Camaro for more "seat of the pants" feel, he had just gotten out of Pros/can/surg. and was enjoying life and hot rods too.

Laughing at myself from 2 years ago, my truck w/p was leaking, so I got the new one just bolted up, stopped at that point before reassembly to do a v/c gasket, and noticed another problem which snowballed as it does. Cyl 3 with low comp and shop air comes out of carb, possible stuck intake valve etc...still sitting apart since the hands quit working.
So when funds are available, the engine gets rebuilt locally and then back to enjoying a drive.

I know what you mean. We went through several health issues around here which slowed us down. I found that all I could do was keep on truckin along. I hope things get better for you and you can get back to your project.
