Hey Y'all.

I replaced wires on my cousin's garage door opener to install insulation & sheet rock . the staples made it impossible to remove the wires had to go thru beams.

Now it will not light up the lights on the sensor & will not go down.

I have checked all the wires with a OHM meter & as far as I know all the wires go to the right spots .{I did them one @ a time so this would not happenso I thought}

It a Craftsman chain drive.

Please can someone show me a wireing diagram Or what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Did the wires to the sensors get stretched? If so, you may have broken on of them. I would get a couple of short pieces of speaker wire, pull off the sensors, then reconnect them to test. You can do this by laying them on top of the ladder whaile testing. If they work, then the wire from the opener to the sensor is broke and will need replaced. Just by taking down the opener shouldn't have broken anything unless it was dropped.

I got it fixed . :D

I called a Friend of mine & he took readings from his opener with a OHM meter.

So when I went to check this one I had a bit of trouble getting the connector off.

While wiggling it the light flickered.

So I put it back on & wiggled it & it came back to life. :thumbup:

Even My Cousins Friend ,a electrician could not finger that one out. :p

:confused: Oh well , Live & learn , Right? :sweat: :boxing:

Thanks for all the help everyone!
