Hey ppl, I need to know how much fuel my engine consumes per minute. Basically i know of two ways to do this...
1:
i know the fuel consumption per distance travelled... ie: I have a 2.0L that does 6.2L per 100Km at 100Km per hr- formulas:

100Km per hr is 1.667Km per min.
(100/60)

at 6.2L/[email protected] we are using:
6.2/100=
0.062L per Km

this means:
it is using:
0.062*1.667=0.103354 Liter petrol per minute

2:
i know the capacity of the vehicle, the rpm its doing the Ve, the f/a mix
Ve = 90%
CC = 2000
RPM = 3750

ok, the formulas as i know them...

CFM = Cid * RPM * Ve / 3464
Cid = Liters * 61.02
Liters = CC / 1000
f/a mix = 7%
Lpm = CFM * 28.3168466

Using these formulas i get:

CFM = (2*61.02) * 3750 * .07 / 3464
CFM = 119.1797
fuel useage is 7% of 119.1797
so fuel useage is: 8.34Cu ft per min
Lpm = 8.34 * 28.3168466 = 236

can anyone help me find the problem?

thanx in advance...
