2 more questions
i'm looking at it for my #'s matching 69 nova SS
motor is matching #'s
its also a true a 4spd car
just bought an m-21 for a killer price

1.whats the saginaw worth thats in her now?
(its in great shape)

2 is the 3:08 posi a good gear for it, or should i go lower like 411 etc or is that 2 low?

its an 10 bolt open rear right now, not sure of the ratio? but i want a posi,
or should i just leave it alone?
someone took the original tranny and rear out before i bought her

A 4.11 would be too low for ME, YMMV. A LOT of guys use a 3.73 for an app like this- as I personally would, too.

You might consider doing some research to see what was in it originally, if you're into the "matching numbers" game. It'll keep you out of the pool halls ;) , that's for sure- you'd need the correct build date along w/the correct ratio and type.

Otherwise, if the rear end isn't original anyway, I'd probably just install a limited slip Auburn, etc., w/3.73's in it.

BTW- There's a classified section for your "For Sale" items...

If it's just a crusier car you might consider 355 or 373. Depending on your tire size 411 may be a little low if you have a short tire. As far as a Posi,you might look at the Eaton unit part# 19603-1. It's a better unit than the auburn and the Eaton in rebuildable.
