yesterday there was a knocking coming from under my 85 chevy truck with a TH350 when I would put it in gear today i went to put it in gear and it wouldnt go anywhere truns out there are no bolts holding the torque convertor to the flexplate i got new bolts and am gonna put them in tommorrow is it possible something else got messed up like i can rotate the torque convertor freely around is this normal?

Yes, it is OK for the torque converter to be able to rotate freely.

As a matter of fact..........lots of folks mess up a engine installation by NOT having the converter ALL THE WAY back and turning freely before bolting the trans/engine together.

Put the bolts in and hope for the best.:sweat: :sweat:

ok i got it fixed it had the kind with the nuts MR. Gasket makes the bolts and the threads halfway down the bolts wre not straight I assume so it locks the nuts on
