Hello. I certanley do not need a different car than mine (1991 Mustang 2.3 5 speed with 228 thousand Kilometers). But there is a 1988 Thunderbird Turbocoupe at a local dealer, with 226 thousand kilometers on it, for about $1000. Everything works, except the trunk release (which is inevitabley a big pain in the ***), and whatever controls the sunroof/windows/radio/ride control decides when it will work.

I dont have any experience with these cars, especially all the electronics going on with it, so Im hoping for some advice from some people who do. Im curious as to how much it will cost to fix, and if it is feasable given my low amount of money :( .

Any advice is appreciated.

The Turbo Coupe is a pretty good car, a future collectable I would bet. The trunk release shouldn't be to big an issue, there are only a few parts...the button, wiring and the release solenoid. I wouldn't think any of those would be an issue to replave. The exact same system/parts was used on tons of Cougars and T-birds of the era.
