Ok I have a 1983 monte carlo&I bought some drag buckets from a guy they were in an 87 accord there real nice,but I have no idea how to install them the tracks on the bottom don't seem to disconnect from the seats only slide,any ideas what to do?is there something missing or something I should make?thanx

The adjuster mechanism is generally held on with four bolts or nuts at the front and back of the channel on the adjuster tracks. Take those off the mounting brackets of the Monty. You will have to move the adjuster forward and back to expose the nuts or bolts that hold them on. You can see the nuts at the front and back in the pictures of these adjuster tracks. Put the old mounting brackets back in the car in their original mounting holes without the old seats on them. If you are wildly lucky, the holes may match up with the new seats, but they probably won't. You will probably have to do some measuring and have some steel welded onto the old brackets to drill holes in so you can mount the new seats. You also may have to shim up the seats to get them to the right height for the car. Good luck.
