I emailed the OP for some info (I'm a skeptic, I suppose- by nature) to verify the authenticity of this venture, w/the intention of possibly making a small donation.

However- I received ZERO response. Seems odd at best that I would get no response- not even "get lost!".

So much for my donation, but (as I said in my email) if this IS authentic, good luck and thanks for the service to our country.

I can understand your thinking here, Cobalt. However, I imagine that all of us at some time or another have "bit the bullet" and did the good Samaritan thing to help out another Hot Rodder. Sometimes it slaps us in the tookus but the ones that are legit makes it worth the effort. IMHO, that is. Hopefully, this is on the up and up and he gets the Rod built for the Son :thumbup: It would be a great jesture even if he wasn't serving in the Military. Father and Son wrenching together still has a special place, even in my old calloused heart.

I noticed that TxGasser is from San Antonio! There are lots of great cars and car people in that beautiful city - - - - that T-bucket will be right at home in the Alamo City :thumbup:

Yes...it's a real shame when everyone is expected to follow the rules and everyone is treated equally, isn't it?..........He seems to understand, now that it has been explained...Too bad you can't........

This is just about the most friendly General Hot Rod site out there, along with the H.A.M.B. forum, that I frequent!! It is always straight-up here. There are some real snarky, and hard biting sites out there. YellowBullet comes to mind, even though I like it there too, it is a whole different atmosphere.
