Hi guys,

I'm a Brit living in Saudi and I am the proud owner of a 1985 Chevvy Caprice Classic. I've had the car for a year and I intend to take it off the road and give it a new lease of life. I want to clean it up, degunge everything and make it look like new again. I'm going to give it a nice bright green coat of paint and the interior is going to be green and orange.

I'd love help with rewiring diagrams, AC diagrams, power steering guides and anything else you think may be of help in renewing this beautiful car to better than its former glory.

Also, I aim to renew all the rubbers, all the hoses, all the electrics, the lights, the carpets, the vinyl roof, upgrade the suspension, everything, in fact.

Although I consider myself to be a novice, I've tinkered with engines for years and I used to buy and sell (mainly Ford) cars back in the eighties and so I do know my way around an engine and gearbox. There's nothing I won't try to do myself other than the specialist jobs, so any advice is more than welcome.

I love this car and I will post pics and progress reports as and when. The job will begin in September and so I want as much info as possible before then so I can get stuck in the moment I return to Saudi (after holidays).

Cheers, fellows, it's awfully decent to make your acquaintance.
