I have been into 67 to 72 Chev trucks for many years. I have a fully restored 67 C-10 LWB (for sale) and a 69 C-10 SWB. A few years ago I got into International Scouts just to take a break from the Chev's. The picture shows 2 of my Scouts. I installed a Chev 350 into the yellow 72 Scout. It also has Dana 44 axles with front disc, a 33 gal custom gas tank, Terra top, and much more. This Scout gets driven about 20,000 miles a year and completed a 500 mile off road trip last June. The white 67 Scout has a total of 11 inches of lift. It too has Dana 44's with front disc. I cut and twisted the front axle to get 7 degrees of positive caster. It has 35 inch tires. I built it to be "Rock Crawler ready" but in reality it will never be abused. It still has the IH 196 motor but I have a 4.3/4L60/Atlas ready to go in. I also have a killer Terra that I bought back from the dead.
I need to restore and drive something (domestic) that gets good milage, any ideas?
