to fill in the holes put a penny behind it and weld them in with a mig... apparently the welding won't stick to the penny...

you should be able to just move the pins over and fill in the old holes how I mentioned above

well I am guessing that taking it to a welding shop is out of the question...

You COULD bondo over it but I am not too sure how long this would last... umm pulling the rear hatch piece looks like a pain in the *** (was gunna swap mine but opted to fix it on the car) hmmmmmmm..... If it were me I would just weld it... gotta be a welder somewhere that you can use...

never thought about fiberglass... hmm your names david too and you have a 3rd gen... damn something about my name and 3rd gens.. you are like the 4th or 5th person who I have seen with the same name and style car as me
