A friend has a 2004 Mustang, not sure of the engine size, but it was rinning rough and he took it to the shop. It had a large fist size holke in the front of the intake manifold which I presume was reaking havok with the fuel mixture. The manafold is made of plastick. Not being a FoMOCo person I was completely in the dark on this. Now the car runs fine but has a distinct tapping that sounds like a bad lifter. I'm not sure but i don't even think that that engine even has lifters. Has anyone ever heard of this problem or have any idea what could have caused the manafold hole?
TIA for Any help
